logo design

For Het Toussainthuis I got the opportunity to redesign their logo during my internship at DutchGiraffe. Het Toussainthuis is a multifunctional location near the palace gardens in The Hague, where you can have meetings, cooking lessons, team building sessions, wedding receptions, and so on.

When I had made some brainstorms and sketches I made a mood board for two types of styles: vintage and modern. I went for those two styles because it’s an old house from 1877, but it has been renovated in a very modern way.

Modern:

Vintage:

Both have similar colors. The colored shapes in the modern logo refer to the multifunctionality and can be seen as doors. The multifunctionality can also be found in de vintage logo, the lines can be seen as different spaces. The different color schemes can be used for different sorts of businesses, like red for cooking classes and blue for business meetings. In the end, the owner of Het Toussainthuis really liked the vintage design.
